Hamilton Senior Center
October finished with lots of Halloween bangs and spooks.
We had a pretty good October. We have completed all this year’s facility improvements. The new carpeting in the Northwest entrance is in and looks good as well as the new vinyl floor covering in the Bitterroot restrooms and Kitchenette. We also upgraded the two old style commodes in the women's restroom to “comfort” height. Thanks to all who helped with the project.

During the past month we have worked on getting ready for the upcoming elections. A committee was formed, and they are now working on the details. As you may know, we will need great participation at the January Board Meeting where we will elect the new Board of Directors.
You must be a member of the Hamilton Senior Center to vote. Membership forms are at the front desk. The dues are $40 per year for all members. Dues add to the donations received and are used to pay for the expenses of running the Senior Center. Membership is an important contribution to the Senior Center. As our membership grows, we can afford to supply more events.

During October our income dropped, which was driven by lower lunch participation and way higher than expected inflation. Almost everything we pay for has increased. We are still OK for this year, but 2026 will be much more expensive than 2025.

My best wish is for a great November and “Happy Thanksgiving” to all!

Respectibly yours,

Joe Bruno, President
